Mrs. Mazal Flinkenstein
Mrs. Mazal Flinkenstein, a longtime resident of Brighton Beach, Brooklyn active in the Oceanview Chabad Jewish Center, passed away on Monday, Yud Beis Nissan. Mrs. Mazal Flinkenstein, a longtime resident of Brighton Beach, Brooklyn, passed away on Monday, Yud Beis Nissan, after contracting COVID-19. She was 85. Mrs. Flinkenstein was a longtime resident of Brighton Beach and very active in Rabbi and Rebbetzin Sholom Mendel Simpson’s Oceanview Jewish Center. Originally from Tunisia, she immigrated from Paris, France to the United States in 1969 together with her husband Gedalia, and enrolled both her sons in United Lubavitcher Yeshiva, Ocean Parkway, during the Rebbe’s “shnas hachinuch” campaign. She was predeceased by her husband Gedalia and is survived by her sons Rabbi Dovid Flinkenstein – Shliach in Wilmette, Illinois, and Dr. Simcha Flinkenstein – Minneapolis, Minnesota, as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
