He was my grandfather. I don't think there is anyone that would understand what a loss this is. There wasn't a time when you came up to him with your kids and he would welcome you, as if he was sitting all day and waiting for your visit. When I used to go with him to shul, literally everyone would we wanna listen to what he had to say, a joke, dvar Torah, or a story. He was a talmid chuchem u'tzim, with lomdos etc.... Yup, you can go on and on.....but this unique type of person is probably the only one since go-d created this world....
