Never knew!
Reb Meir used to daven at our Shul, Bais Medrash Ohr Chaim in Monsey, when he was with his son Shmuel. Fortunately, I had the Zchus of having him pass thru my driveway which led to the path that led to the Shul. Unfortunately, I didn't have the Zchus of running out to say Shalom Aleichem to such a holy person every time he passed through because I never knew who he was! May he be a Meilitz Yosher to his entire family. Shamayim just added a new member to the eternal Gan Eden club.
